The Africa Initiative of the International Journal of Operations & Production Management (IJOPM), in collaboration with CARISCA, invites Africa-based researchers to submit working papers for its 2026 Paper Development Workshop (PDW).
The PDW will take place during the 2026 Supply Chain Research Summit in Accra, Ghana (July 6–8, 2026) and is designed to help scholars strengthen theoretically grounded, empirical papers for publication in leading logistics, operations, and supply chain management (OSCM) journals.
Who Should Apply?
Researchers based at African institutions
Postgraduate students, early-career, and senior scholars
Authors working on theoretically driven empirical papers using African datasets
Scholars seeking structured developmental feedback from journal editors
Participation is competitive and limited to 12 participants.
What to Submit
A full draft paper (preferred)
Maximum 8,000 words (excluding references and appendices)
Clear theoretical grounding and strong engagement with African contexts
Relevance to logistics, operations, or supply chain management
