APPLICATIONS are invited from suitably qualified persons for appointment as Research and Training Coordinator (RTC) at the Centre for Applied Research and Innovation in Supply Chain-Africa (CARISCA), KNUST School of Business (KSB). The appointment is a Full Time Employment (FTE), and the position is contingent on grant funding which ends on June 03, 2025.
Qualification and Experience
- Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in communications, education, international development, management, planning, or project-related technical field
- Minimum of three years’ experience in training or event management OR, any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities have been achieved.
- Proficient in word processing, presentation, and spreadsheet applications
- Proficient in writing, creating, formatting, and editing documents and templates
- Experience training others one-on-one and in groups
- Understanding of higher education institutions
- International development experience
- Experience with Google Workspace environment
- Experience in analysing data, creating descriptive statistics, comparing pre-test and post-test evaluation scores, and creating data visualizations
- Experience in event planning or executive support is an added advantage
- Experience in mixed-method research design
Duties and Responsibilities
- Draft and edit reports, presentations, evaluations, and surveys
- Facilitate/create/edit the mandatory reporting for all component activities (data and narrative reporting)
- Create and maintain documents, spreadsheets, presentations, and forms in Google Workspace
- Set-up team meetings, draft and monitor meeting agenda, and host/co-host Zoom meetings
- Handle logistics for in-person, online, and hybrid events
- Create, disseminate and analyse pre-test and post-test surveys
- Serve on Monitoring, Evaluation, Research, and Learning working group, and support the Gender inclusion working group
- Attend and contribute to Key Personnel meetings
- Develop operating procedures, guidance documents, and templates for the project
- Perform data entry and upload data to the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) DevResults system
- Follow up with team members to meet deliverable and deadlines
