Other Information to prepare you for this Summit

If you’ve traveled to a major Ghanaian city before, you probably know to bring the basics: Ghana Cedis (you can exchange some foreign currency at the airport) or a widely accepted credit/debit card, a type A or B plug adaptor, a thirst for adventure, etc.

If you’re sensitive to heat, you may want to bring some lighter weight professional outfits since average outdoor temperatures in July range from 78-87° F (26-30° C).

Although Ghana’s official language is English, around 60 percent of the city’s population speaks twi—you can learn a few words and phrases.
Also worth noting: Kumasi is in the Greenwich Mean Time time zone (GMT), so set your clocks accordingly. Or you could just let your phone do that automatically—your choice.
